Conference Game Picks: Break Out Your Change Purse

Last round, I went 3 for 4. How did you do?

I fully expect each and every one of you to bet your last food stamp on my picks this round.

[Editor's Note: Don't be insane. This guy is making these picks up as he goes. Please gamble and participate in debauchery responsibly.]

Before I make my picks, a special Heeeeeeeeeey Girl to Danielle at Footballforwomen.com. She got 3 out of 4, which is 2 more than I can say for Dave. Stick to hoops, David.

Here we go:

Philly(-3) at Arizona: Oh the insanity! I see McNabb riding the bench again! Warner throwing touchdowns for Jesus! I see Andy Reid more concerned with getting some Krispy Kreme donuts while he’s west of the Mississippi!

In all seriousness, I’d like to see the Eagles win. I loved Asante Samuels when he was a Patriot, and I admire the Eagles for truly making the playoffs a tabula rasa after a mediocre regular season. (How do you get into the playoffs with a TIE in your record?!?!!)

But that won’t stop me from picking the Cards. They’ve proven they love the underdog role, and I think they not only cover, but win outright. Mostly because the “experts” keep saying they’re gonna lose.

Baltimore at Pittsburgh (-5): Am I the only one who thinks that line is way too tight? “Defense wins championships”, but Roethlisberger is actually going to have to throw some to beat the Ravens. I thought Big Ben was a top tier quarterback right there with Manning and Brady. . . before the motorcycle accident. Now, I think he’s a good one. I think the Towels help at home, and I think on paper, Pittsburgh dominates.

But if the Yankees have taught me anything, it’s that being great on paper often times means you suck on the field.

Baltimore covers, and probably wins outright.

What do the rest of you gambling degenerates think?
